Humans are intrinsically required to survive. People see their survivability threatened by political and economic forces beyond their control, such as movements toward a world of greater freedom with less emphasis on the politics of scarcity. Most people adapt and integrate. People who have become so entrenched in ways of thinking that are different from the currently dominant systems may not be able to see, understand or adapt to these changes, so they react by trying to destroy the threat they perceive. They become terrorists. There may be no way out for these people--they embrace an ideology that negates positive effort in this life and instead focuses on a "future" which is unattainable in reality. They may be mired in some type of arcane inferiority/superiority politic that prevents them from participating in less than a black and white world.

The answer?

The world and its people will evolve toward states of greater freedom and creativity. Those who can't adapt will not survive and they shouldn't. Some people can and are recognizing that scarcity is no longer dominant. Technology has made it possible for all needs to be met without a requirement of genetic "superiority."

The solution to terrorism is to provide all the people of the world with the resources necessary, not only to survive and participate on a global basis, but to reach whatever creative pursuits there minds desire. Work, effort and life must be based on desire and not the fear of extinction.
