When you enter the IdeaTrust, you will find yourself on the home page. You will see that the IdeaTrust is divided into four, linked web pages named Challenge, Add Ideas, Stimulation, and Idea Bank. You can jump to any page from any other page. Generally, you will want to start participating by reading the Challenge.

Challenge
This page presents the problem for which we are generating ideas. After reading and understanding the Challenge, you can either Add Ideas, go to the Stimulation page for idea-generating help, or to the Idea Bank to browse ideas others have submitted.

Add Ideas
From any IdeaTrust page, you can click Add Ideas and a pop-up window will appear. This window provides a field for entering your ideas. You can float the Add Ideas window over any other IdeaTrust page. In this way you can Add Ideas while referring to the Challenge, while using Stimulation, or while browsing the ideas others have submitted in the Idea Bank.

The Add Ideas window also contains a Suggestion and a Hint. The Suggestion appears automatically at the top of the Add Ideas window. It suggests an approach you might take to thinking of an idea. Every time you open an Add Ideas window a new Suggestion appears. You can also make a new Suggestion appear by reloading the Add Ideas page. (F5 in Internet Explorer.)

Every time you click the Hint button at the bottom of the Add Ideas window, you will see a random combination of specially chosen words. Use these words to stimulate your creative thinking as well.

Stimulation
This page contains links to Internet sites that will help stimulate your creative thinking. Browse these sites for ideas. In addition, you'll find links to online tools from the Toolbox that help you think creatively. You will also find links to other stimulating reference tools. Experiment with these tools when you find yourself in need of creative stimulation.

Idea Bank
The Idea Bank serves as one of the richest sources of creative-thinking stimulation. It collects all the ideas contributed by everyone who participates in the IdeaTrust. Every time you add an idea it is automatically listed in the Idea Bank. If you do not see an idea you have just submitted, reload the Idea Bank page.

If you do not see your contribution after reloading or refreshing the page, it may have been moved or removed. The Idea Bank is reserved for ideas that directly address the Challenge. We will post thoughtful comments pertaining to the Challenge on the Stimulation page. We will permanently delete any comments that do not pertain to the Challenge.
