I grew up in England; my mother was a Musician and my father was an Engineer. I moved to Germany at age 21 on an academic scholarship.
I now have a PhD in Engineering and am currently a Professor of Computer Science.

In addition to Computer Science, I also teach professional skills and creativity to students from a variety of programs.

In the creativity course, I teach the basics of idea generation and evaluation. Student teams are given the task of designing and running an "idea factory" which they then use to solve real-world problems.

As part of our research, we are developing new techniques for idea generation and evaluation which are evaluated in commercial projects, usually for marketing and product innovation ideation tasks.
